Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Offcue mobile application ("Offcue," "the app," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Offcue you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The app
Offcue is a teleprompter and recording app that lets you compose or paste scripts and record video of yourself with the script scrolling over the camera. Your scripts and recordings are stored on your device. Offcue does not provide cloud sync.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Offcue on devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and the store terms of Apple or Google (as applicable).
3. Subscriptions and free trial
Offcue offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ("Offcue Premium") sold on a yearly, monthly, or weekly basis. Pricing for each plan is shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Free trial. The yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel during the trial, you will be charged for the first year at the price displayed at signup.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
- Refunds. Refunds, where available, are handled according to Apple's or Google's published policies. We do not process payments directly.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the scripts you write and the recordings you capture in Offcue. Because that content stays on your device, we do not view it, host it, or claim any rights to it. You are solely responsible for what you record and for ensuring you have the right to record and distribute it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Offcue to record anyone without their consent where consent is required by law;
- Use Offcue to create, store, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes on the rights of others;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- Resell or sublicense access to Offcue Premium.
6. Third-party services and stores
Offcue is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the app is also subject to those stores' terms. Offcue uses Firebase (Google) for anonymous authentication, crash reports and analytics, and RevenueCat for subscription management. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Updates
We may release updates to Offcue at any time and may add, change, or remove features. We may also discontinue the app or any feature without notice. We will continue to honor the current period of any active paid subscription.
8. Disclaimers
Offcue is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Offcue be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
You can stop using Offcue at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections 4 through 12 survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute will be brought in the courts of Poland. This does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice in the app. Your continued use of Offcue after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
